First Annual AAF Homecoming and Picnic

Date:  Sunday, October 26th
Time:  1-4 PM

Location:  Heritage Park in Ross Township
Fee:  $15/adults $7.50/children under 12.
Everyone who attends will receive a T-shirt and a complimentary lunch.

We are inviting all who have adopted a dog from the AAF to join us for a day of fun in the park with your canine friend.  It will be great to see doggie alumni from days and years gone by.  Even if you haven't yet adopted a dog from the AAF, come on out with your dog or if you're looking to adopt a new friend, we will have several of our AAF dogs at the event looking for you to take them home. The event is open to the general public and we hope to see everyone there.

We will also be holding DOG costume contests to coincide with the spirit of the season.

Micro-Chipping only $20

The AAF offers low-cost micro-chipping for the public. A Micro-Chip is the size of a grain of rice, and is inserted into a pet right above the shoulder blades. Micro-Chips constitute the most reliable system for the recovery of lost or stray companion animals. If your pet is lost and ends up at a reputable vet or animal shelter, he/she will be scanned for a Micro-Chip. Thereafter, you will be quickly reunited! Of course, it is most important to have current tags on your pet. But if these ever accidentally come off, or your pet is stolen, a internal microchip will save the day! For more info on Micro-Chipping, visit 24PetWatch.  The chipping process only takes a couple of minutes and can be done by appointment only. Call 513-738-PETS or email aafpets@yahoo.com

Ongoing
The AAF is asking local individuals, businesses, and students to help in a shelter supplies drive. We go through countless supplies every month at the shelter and could really use your help.

Here are some ideas:
a) Set up a box at your work place with a list of needed items on it
b) Email everyone where you work about the supply drive
c) Email your friends/family with our needed items
d) Next time you are shopping, pick up a bunch of items

Here are the supplies we need now:
a) Cat litter- any brand
b ) Garbage bags- 33 Gallon size or larger
c ) Liquid laundry detergent

Once you have gathered your donations you can either drop them at the Animal Adoption Foundation or Compuaide Computers 4176 Hamilton-Cleves Road, Ross.

Make A Difference...
Recycle And Help Us Continue Helping Those Who Cannot Help Themselves
!

The AAF has partnered with Envirosmart in an effort to not only help the environment by recycling used inkjet cartridges and toners but also by raising much needed financial support for our organization.  The AAF gets a percentage for each toner or inkjet recycled.

It is very easy to get started in this program whether you participate as an individual or as a business.  There is no cost to you and the shelter benefits from your efforts.

If you are interested, please contact Wade Wolf at 513-238-2376 or via email at wwolf@cinci.rr.com

We have also partnered up with ABITIBI Paper Recycling to help raise money for the AAF!  There are two dumpster-style receptacles located in our parking lot just waiting for you to load all of your used: copy paper, junk mail, magazines and shredded documents.  Please no phone books or cardboard!

GoodSearch.com is a new search engine that donates money to non-profit organizations.  All you have to do is go to the website, select Animal Adoption Foundation as you charity and start searching!  For every search you do a penny will be donated to the shelter.  It may not seem like much, but if we can get a lot of people to use it the money will start adding up.  Please use this website honestly.  Any fraudulent behavior, such as searching the same thing 50 times, may cause the shelter to be de-listed.  Make sure to tell all of you family and friends!

Thanks in advance for your help!!!!
